 Passed first time with Alan. He’s a really great driving instructor, down to earth and very friendly but also professional when needed. He quickly put me at ease from the start and ended up being a friendly face I looked forward to seeing weekly! I enjoyed every lesson and he was great at keeping thing’s positive. He wasn’t afraid to crack a joke (not a very good one at that!) when it looked as if things were getting overwhelming. Also, he was always on time and reliable. He managed everything brilliantly by booking my test for me and finding a cancellation when he knew I was ready to pass.

 Alan took me on as a pupil about 6 months ago, having been majorly let down by a previous instructor, who I thought was a good instructor until I was introduced to Alan. Alan at incredibly short notice managed to fit us in when Red driving school just cancelled her first lesson on her Birthday at 24 hrs notice, booked 3 months in advance.
Alan then offered the greatest flexibility, booking lessons around timetables and different collection and drop offs.
He helped hugely with the process of the theory test and even managed to acquire an early driving test cancellation date.
She passed first time, testament to the quality of Alan's instruction.
I couldn't recommend more highly.

Alan instilled great confidence in both my son & I from our first meeting with him, when he came round to the house to go through the learning process. He is very calm, communicates well and has a great understanding of young adults and their parents. Learning to drive has changed such a lot, since we parents learned 25+ years ago!
Our family cars are not appropriate for learner drivers, so all Callum's driving tuition came from Alan and thus, Callum's success and zero minors pass is purely down to Alan's input.
Alan was extremely accommodating in fitting lessons around my son's college & work schedules and is easy to contact & communicate with.
Once my son has gained some experience driving in his own car, we will be back in touch with Alan for a motorway lesson and a driving in the dark lesson.

We had to wait a few weeks for Alan’s availability but if was well worth it. My daughter started driving with Alan, mid February and passed first time with one minor in April. 

When we took her out driving before her test, she had excellent road knowledge and was confident and didn’t panic, if roads were busy or she stalled, this was all credited to Alan. 

Alan gave us a timetable before starting with him, up to and including test date, this can alter should it be needed to by both parties. 

I would highly recommend Alan, he has been nothing by professional from start to finish.
